Dear Warder
Thank you for your two letters. I look forward to seeing my book. I will try to think who should be asked for puffs; it should be not only logicians, but also men who write on theory of knowledge. Morris Cohen would know better than I do who should be chosen.
I am sorry about “The Taming of Power”. If I had known that the article referred to was one that had been in Power I should of course have referred them to you, but that did not appear in the request.
Ever since you came I have been troubled by the inadequacy of my hospitality. I had a seminar 4–6, reached the Yard, from Chicago, as the clock struck 4, and got to The Commander only a few minutes before you; so I had no time to make any preparations. But I still blush when I think of the empty tobacco tin and the absence of fizzy water for the whiskey.
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
