Dear Warder,
Bertie asks me to thank you for your letter and cheque. He noticed with appreciation that you have made no deduction for your services as agent.
He thinks that everything you say about “Language Fact and Truth” is very sound, and can easily send you a tentative Table of Contents and some specimen material before May 1st, and the M.S. by the end of August.
It is quite the best philosophical work that Bertie has done for many years, and the only people to be disappointed with it will be the good people who turn over its pages in the eager hope of finding something salacious. You might send presentation copies to Mrs. Kay (who, according to the New Yorker, reads philosophy) and to her attorney.
Yours sincerely,
Peter Russell.
