Dear Warder
Thank you for letter and cheques. I am glad Power continues to sell, and has not been a loss to you.
I have been invited to give the William James Lectures at Harvard, and shall be there Sp–Dec. this year. I shall give “Language and Fact”, which must not be published till the lectures have been given. In any case, I cannot have the MS. ready before the end of August at the earliest. I can undertake to let you have it by the time my lectures begin, viz. Sp. 23, at the latest. Publication of the lectures is expected, so the book must appear as the William James lectures.
I shall return here when the lectures are over.
DV, I shall get my history of philosophy finished during the summer of 1941, but probably not in time for autumn publication.
All goes well with us except that Peter’s health has been bad. John is at the university here, doing very well, and Kate is about to enter. Conrad has just begun nursery school, to his great delight.
Love from us both to you both.
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
