Dear Warder
Thank you very much for your nice letter of June 14. You needn’t fear misunderstandings; I quite understood your advertising agent’s point of view! Meanwhile, let us hope we shan’t lose by not adopting it.
I think I had better read the proofs, as you are setting the book up from the typescript. There are always some misprints that no one but the author would be likely to notice.
Peter and I, complete with son and nurse, intend to sail by the Britannic, travelling Tourist, arriving Sep. 24 or 25 — probably the latter. If you are in Connecticut, I am afraid we shall not see you, as travelling with a baby is a thing to be minimized. Is there a chance of your being in New York then?
Yours sincerely
B.R.
P.S. I am afraid Conrad may be refused admittance, as I cannot honestly say that he objects to upsetting the government by force or violence!
