Dear Warder

Thank you for your letter of April 6. Before answering it, I must tell you that we have a son, born 2 days ago, who appears vigorous and healthy. Peter is doing well, and is very happy: she remarks alternately that her son is just like me and that he is far from beautiful. The first half of this statement I endorse.

I had not known that Sedgwick went in for publishing. I think your advice very sound, and if I see my way to doing such a book I shall follow it.

I am glad you expect to sell the whole 500 sheets of Amberley Papers. It is good for such a book. The reviews here have gone on being amazingly enthusiastic.

Whitehead wrote to me, saying he thought there was no chance for me at Harvard, and recommending either Chicago or California. I am profoundly grateful to you for your help.

We look forward to seeing you in June and showing you Conrad Sebastian Russell.

All best wishes to you both.

Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell
