Dear Sir,

At Bertrand Russell’s request, I send you herewith a copy of the last part of his book. No carbon copy was made of the last chapter and the conclusion, and I hope you will not mind having them in manuscript.

Various corrections were made in the copy which was sent to Allen and Unwin but not in this copy. So far as I remember, none of these corrections was important.
