Heart’s Comrade2
I have read the letters you left here3 for me — and I understand. I love you eternally, with what is deepest and most burning in me. When my love seems dim it is only because the central fire is not burning brightly. The spirit of our love is safe but I do not know yet what to do about the body of it and I shall not know till after the child4 is born — We will talk about everything Sunday — and I shall hold you in my arms again — Goodbye till then, Beloved.
