Noted in pencil on this photocopy: "original sent to Wales 3/10/67". A copy of Ali's "favourite boxing picture" was enclosed (not present). The mention of the enclosure is included with the publication of the letter.

The original of this letter, and the photo, are not in the Russell Archives. On 21 September 2016 it was confirmed that the original is with the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation. A colour scan or photograph of the original appears in The Spokesman, no. 133 (2016): 96.

In July 2025 RA was given a photo of the signed photo. It is in Rec. Acq.  1897.
