The fictional address of "Cheyne Walk" has been replaced in BR's hand by "Gordon Square". The fictional initial "L" has been replaced by a "B".

The original letter is document .200009, record 19046. It uses the date of 28 September 1916 taken from the "Thursday" that appears on the letter.

There is also a typed version of this letter, document .201105, record 115260.

This letter, no. 4, was typed for a literary collection of their letters. It is paginated 8-9. The page numbers 544-5 have also been stamped on it as it forms part of the Autobiography typescript.

BR has replaced the fictional return address of "Cheyne Walk" (which is in Colette's hand) with "Gordon Square", and the fictional signature of "L." with "B."

This is a condensed version of the original letter, document .200028, record 19062, which has an assumed date of 1916/10/21* based on its being written on "Saturday". The date of this letter is probably incorrect.

This letter, no. 23, was prepared for a literary collection of their letters. It is paginated 32. The page no. 550 is also stamped on the letter as it forms part of the Autobiography file. This letter includes the line "I have gazed down eternity with you."

Colette's hand wrote the fictional address of "Edwardes Square", which BR has altered by hand to "Mecklenburgh Square".

This letter is related to a letter in the Malleson-Urch ts. which is dated 11 October 1917 (document .104597ek, record 113075); the original is not present. Several of the lines are either similar or identical.

The text of the letter comes from two original letters: document .200079, record 19107. The text at the top of page 2 being the source for the first paragraph of this letter. Document .200082, record 19110, paragraph 2 is the source for paragraph 2 of this letter. Document .200079 is dated 22 January 1917; document .200082 is dated January 1917.

This transcription of the original letter, document .200330, record 19342, was the text used for publication, rather than the original which Russell did not have. The first two sentences were omitted. There are a few other minor differences between the two documents.

A transcription of the original letter, document .200334, record 19345. Only one paragraph is published in the Autobiography, beginning "Dear one". "Rinders" was changed to "Winchelsea" in this transcription, which is the version that appears in the Autobiography.

This is a letter to "All and sundry". In the letter, document .200324, record 19337, BR writes: "There is a letter to Miss Rinder somewhere and some general moralizing about Spectator review. Please pass on both after reading. The general moralizing is addressed to all and sundry." The original of this letter is not present.

On the top of this letter is typed: "Copy of letter from B. Russell to Miss Rinder". This statement is an error.

This letter has the no. 579 is stamped on it.
