Attached to the letter is an office memorandum to Stanley Unwin, signed "JH", reading in part: "It would be interesting to know how much private material Lord Russell has to which Mr. Blackwell has had access." Joy Hill was the writer. [Note by KB, 3.4.96.: an incomparable amount of such material, containing so many manuscripts and other leads that the completion of the bibliography was delayed for decades.]
