Dear Dr. Schuck,

Thank you very much for your letter of Dec. 21. I am glad you find next autumn feasible. I think October 25a–Nov 1 would suit me best, but if you have any preference I can manage Oct. 4–Oct. 11b.

I should wish to stay in America a few extra days, to see my daughter and one or two other friends.
