Your Talk entitled POWER — A New Social Analysis
Date of Arabic transmission 5.4.1951
Dear Sir,
Under the BBC’s standard contract with talks contributors, the Corporation has the exclusive right to publish a talk in its journals (except the “Radio Times”) within 28 days from the date of broadcast.
However, it takes several weeks to produce the Arabic Listener, from the day the first manuscripts reach the printers to the day of publication. So it is seldom possible to publish Arabic texts within 28 days of broadcast.
Would you, therefore, agree to the publication of your talk in the “Arabic Listener” after the contractual period of 28 days? If so, please sign the slip at the foot of this letter and return it to me.
Yours faithfully,
<signed> L.P. Elwell-Sutton
