Thank you for your letter of 22nd February, with regard to the formal contract for The Brains Trust recorded on 26th November, last.1

Lord Russell assures me that he has not received this contract and could not, therefore, send you a signed acceptance of it. I should be pleased if you would let Lord Russell have a duplicate copy, which he will sign and return to you immediately. I should like to remind you that the last time a misunderstanding arose in this connection the error was discovered to have been made by your department.
