Dear Mr. Bax
The British Constitution forbids Peers to stand for the House of Commons, or to renounce their peerage. I call myself “Bertrand Russell” for publicity purposes because that is the means by which I am known, but this has no affect upon my legal status.
Yours very sincerely
Russell
