My dear Irina
Thank you very much for your letter and the lovely flower print and poem. I can’t get over your living at Carn Voel, where I spent very happy times while my older children were young.
I have heard from and of Derek. I am afraid he is very ill indeed.
You will perhaps be interested to know that Peter and I have parted, more or less amicably. She is in London; I am here till late Sep., then I shall be in London, but I don’t know where.
That being the case, there is no need to write so formally next time!
With all good wishes to you and the twins,
Yours ever
BR
