BR makes a programme selection for his lecture tour of Italy due to start Dec. 13. He seems to dismiss solicitations about fatigue.

Dear Miss Wallington
Thank you for your letter of Sp. 17. I think Programme B is best, omitting Florence but including Genoa. As to subjects, I suggest the same as in Norway, giving each place a choice among them.
I much prefer to travel by air, and should therefore prefer to go to Rome by air, but from Milan I had obviously better go by train. If my first lecture in Rome is Monday 13th, I don’t see why I should leave London on the 10th. Would it not do if I flew to Rome on the 11th or 12th, or even 13th?
It is kind of you to be solicitous about fatigue. In America I used to lecture every day for 2 months, with 12-hour journeys in between; but it is true that I was younger then.
Yours sincerely
Russell.
