Dear Britton1

I have now read your “Murder’s Last Word”, with interest, pleasure, and admiration for your adaptability. I have only one criticism: I think, for the benefit of dull readers, you ought to reveal dramatically the identities of Carson and the Man in Black. I express no opinion on your scientific hypothesis. I think your dialogue between the scientist and the nationalist is delicious.

Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.

Would G.D.H. Cole commend you?
