BR did not verify the statements about Mill (and contraception), but hopes that Stopes can. He thanks her for kind words about Frank Russell. In October he is going to Norway and Berlin.

Dear Dr. Stopes
Your very good letter of Aug. 2 has only reached me a day or two ago, as I was absent in Amsterdam for a philosophical Congress.
About Mill: I never verified the statements, and I am sorry I cannot give you a nearer date. I shall be very glad to know whether you can find any confirmation, though I should hardly expect the Times to report such an occurrence.
I am grateful for all the kind things you say about my brother, and I very much hope we may meet in London in the autumn — but not till November, as in October I am going to Norway and Berlin (Stalin permitting).
Yours very sincerely
Russell.
