Dear Dr. Stopes

I am sorry that at the moment we are tied here, as our boy (aged 10) is at home, and we cannot leave him. To make matters worse, my wife is ill in bed. I hope these circumstances will not last for ever, but at present we are prisoners. With regrets,

Yours sincerely
Russell.

It was a great pleasure meeting you.
