Dear Madam

I learn that the British authorities will not allow me any Swedish currency for my prospective visit. That being the case, I cannot come unless I can earn my expenses while there. I am willing to speak, to broadcast, or to write articles for publication in Sweden. Can Bokförlaget Natur och Kultur guarantee me a certain sum for such services, and if so, how much? I propose to reach Stockholm May 21 and stay about a week. Please answer soon, as, until you do, I do not know whether my visit will be possible.
