Dear Mr. Bierich,
Thank you for your letter, which I was glad to get. I am glad to know that your interest in Mathematical Logic remains so keen.
I have been spending the past week in Berlin, but had no opportunity to get into South Germany. If I had been able to I would have tried to see you.
I know how difficult it is to make a good translation, and I do not wonder that you are finding it hard. A new book of mine called Human Knowledge: Its Scope and Limits has just appeared in England, and will shortly appear in Germany in German.a It deals entirely with empirical knowledge, and not with Logic and Mathematics.
With all best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
