Thank you very much for your friendly letter. I agree with you both about Kolman and about Schilpp. I do not think philosophy should aim directly at moral regeneration, any more than (say) astronomy should. My anger against Mr. Kolman was much enhanced by his being a Czech. Though a fool, he has power to help in hounding good men to their death.
