My dear Elizabeth
Thank you for your letter. May I come May 24–26? I am afraid Peter won’t be able to come as she is kept busy with town-planning — she is at this moment on her way to Harlow: I think one may assume that it will not be very cold then! Oh dear! I have just realized that that week-end is Whitsuntide. I am very sorry, but as things stand I have no other week-end free. We go to France at the beginning of June, and then to Wales. It is possible that I may be free the following week-end, but doubtful. I very much want to come.
Yours aff.
B.R.
