My dear Kate
The enclosed came after I had signed everything, so my efforts are foiled. I hope it won’t matter much to you. I am glad the toaster is a success, and I hope the inorthodox Ph.D. thesis will be.
I wouldn’t come back to England if I were you. The danger of war is acute, and if war comes England will be dangerous and disagreeable.
I gather Peter told you all about my adventure in Norway, which added greatly to the success of my tour. Now I am just off for 5 days in Berlin.
All goes well. Write to me when you have time.
Love from
Diddy
