Dear Kate
Your delightful letter of March 27 gave me the greatest pleasure. Your sentiments seem to me so just that I can only agree.
I have had two nice letters from John and am glad to know he is coming home for a while. We will hope he will acquire some sense about money. I shall not use or keep any of his trust money, as he will be poor and I shall be quite well off.
All is well between Peter and me. A long rest at a hotel has smoothed her out and made her charming. I am here in term time, and shall be at Festiniog in the vacations. She stays there to get the work done on our house.
I am busy on a magnum opus on The scope and limits of human knowledge. I have done about half the work.
Yes, it is sad that it took us so long to get in touch with each other, but now we can keep it up, even if only by letter.
Much love dear Kate.
Yrs aff
Diddy
