Dear Gilbert

Would you do me a kindness? I want to make a serious study of the history of the League of Nations and you, no doubt, can tell me what is the best literature for the purpose. I should like to know what is known of discussions as to the Covenant during the Peace negotiations, and of the activities of the League from its formation to the present day. There must be books giving all this, but I don’t know what they are.

I very much enjoyed seeing you at Miss Silcox’s.

Yours ever
Bertrand Russell.
