    title page should be exactly as before That is, it should continue to list his honours and conclude with “Judicially pronounced unworthy to be Professor of Philosophy at the College of the City of New York (1940)”. The ironic data disappeared after the 1948 impression of the UK edition, and never appeared on the US edition.
