Sir Stanley Unwin,
Messrs. Allen & Unwin,
40, Museum Street,
London, W.C.1.

Dear Sir Stanley,

At my husband’s suggestion I am sending you an enormous letter from a young Australian,1 with the synopsis of a book he is writing on recent attacks on academic freedom. As you will see, if you have patience to read his letter, he wants to submit his MS to you, and my husband hopes that you will give it sympathetic consideration if and when he sends it.

Yours sincerely,
<signed> Patricia Russell.
