Dear Mr. Unwin

I have been working over my Reith Lectures, and I think that if I expand them to as much as 40,000 words likely will be less good than at present. Would you mind very much if the book was only 30,000? I really think that would be better, and would also make it possible to get the book out sooner. Please let me know your view as soon as possible, perhaps by telephone.

Yours sincerely
Russell
