I am sending you under separate cover a book by Freda Utley called Lost Illusion, which has just been published in America, but not here. As she is in Berlin, she asked me to see if I could arrange for publication in this country. It is, to my mind, an absorbingly interesting book, and very timely. Her experience of Russia was much more intimate than that of most other English people who lived there, and if you read the book you will see that her narrative is utterly sincere and convincing, as well as deeply tragic.

If you do decide to publish, I think some advance on royalties would be very useful to her.
