18th January, 1948.

Sir Stanley Unwin,
Messrs. George Allen & Unwin,
40, Museum Street,
W.C.1.

Dear Unwin,

Thank you for your two letters. The quotation from Schrödinger is very gratifying. And I am glad to know that there is a real prospect of the reprint of my History being available before very long.

I am sorry I cannot lunch with you on January 27th, as Chatham House wants me. If it had been otherwise I should have much enjoyed coming.

It is quite correct about the Agency for Intellectual Relief in Germany.

Yours sincerely,
<signed> Bertrand Russell
