Dear Sirs
Kindly inform the German translators of Freedom and Organisation that I have no objection to the small change they wish to make.
In the proofs they sent,
p. 9. “Treue” should be “Glaube”. The word “faith”, here, is used in the theological sense of assent to dogma.
p. 65. “Volksbildungsgesellschaft für Dampfkraftausnützung” is completely and utterly wrong. What is meant is “society for producing intellect by steam”; the intention is ironic. “Gesellschaft für Bildungsproduktion durch Dampfmaschinen” would give the sense.
Would you kindly let them know about these two points.
Yours faithfully
Bertrand Russell.
