Dear Unwin,

I have been through the German translation of Power, and have made a certain number of corrections.

I am willing to accept the judgement of “Europa Verlag”, or of the translator, as to omitting passages which are now out of date.

I think that here and there footnotes should be added to explain allusions which are familiar to English readers but not to others, for example, to the Vicar of Bray, and the Wearin’ o’ the Green.*
