BR TO W.W. NORTON & COMPANY, INC. / WARDER NORTON, 1 SEPT. 1940
BRACERS 47348. ALS. Norton papers, Columbia U.

Dear Warder

Thank you for your letter. I am glad to know the MS. arrived safely. I think there are parts of the book that you will feel at home with; certainly the title-page, which I gathered you had not noticed. (The last two lines2 are the point.)

Proofs should go to Harvard, where I shall be from Sp. 17 onwards. We leave here on Sp. 8.

When I have a more specific address at Cambridge, I will let you know it; but Harvard will find me.

Could you let me have three proofs? I should like an extra one to send to England, in case the MS. I sent is sunk by Hitler.

I hope we shall meet soon, as I shall be in the East, and presumably in New York some time. Best wishes from both to both.

Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
