Dear Norton,

Your letter of June 19th arrived to-day, but I had just finished a reply to Mrs. Smith when it came. I am sending you the reply, but I am in no way set upon having it printed, and if Plain Talk would prefer one of the Sceptical Essays by all means let them have it. I will leave the choice to you, both as to whether they should have the reply to Mrs. Smith2 or a “Sceptical Essay”, and in the latter event as to which “Sceptical Essay” they should have. And I am sure I may trust you to screw as much money out of them that they feel inclined to give.

The essay on “Myths and Facts”3 has not appeared in America as far as I can remember, but it is just possible that it appeared in The Dial. You could, however, find out by ringing them up. Buta if it did not appear there, I am sure it has not appeared in America. The introductory essay on “The Value of Scepticism”4 has not appeared anywhere. I am rather afraid that all the other essays have appeared in America, but I cannot remember for certain.

Yours sincerely,
Bertrand Russell
