Dear Mr. Mathews,
I think your proposal to explore Spain on foot in a party of temporary commercial travellers is an excellent one, and you ought to learn a great deal,a supposing that you know Spanish. I am sorry to say that I am myself very hard up, and cannot lend you any part of your expenses. I hope you will be more successful elsewhere.
Yours very sincerely,
<signed> Bertrand Russell.
