Dear Mr Kimball
Thank you for your two letters. I am ashamed to say that I have not read the article by Newman that you mention; I will do so at the earliest opportunity. I think I am broadly in agreement with you except for one point, viz. that, while I am quite ready to accept induction as valid, I am not ready to accept any of the existing formulations of induction, all of which seem to me demonstrably mistaken.
I am at present concentrating on this subject, but have not yet arrived at anything sufficiently definite to want to set it forth. I hope that two or three years hence I shall be better able to answer your letters.
Yours sincerely
Russell.
