Notes, topics or text

This letter, no. 49, pp. 69-70, was prepared for a literary collection of their letters. It uses the fictional initial "M" which has been changed in ink to "C" by Colette. She has also added to the text as well as inking out some words. The fictional address is "The Manor House, Waltham St. George" when she was actually at Cox Green.

Its ribbon copy is also present, document .201159, record 116275. The ribbon copy contains more changes than the carbon. The language used is similar to text she wrote on 7 August in a multi-part letter which begins on 3 August: document .104579he, record 113147, letter no. 212he. The similarities are from paragraphs 2 and 3 of this document.
