Dear Professor Schuck
I propose to leave London on the evening of October 22, and I shall be due to arrive at New York Airport at 7.55 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Oct. 23. I do not know whether Daylight Saving Time will be in force then, but in any case it is by Eastern Standard Time that I am due. I am travelling by B.O.A.C. You were kind enough to say that I should be met at the airport. I hope whoever comes can advance me a few dollars, as I am not allowed to bring a single cent of American money, and cannot even telephone if anything goes wrong.
I am coming a day early in case of bad weather.
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
