Dear Gamel
I am profoundly disappointed, but Oct. 29 is no good. Peter is coming up with me, and we both have to attend to public matters that seem urgent: we are both much occupied in the movement to get Germany fed. The time in London will be taken up seeing Gollancz and other people. Although it is hard to have to miss a moment of happiness, it is comforting to have found something to do that is important, and in which results can be obtained. As soon as I know when I shall next be in London I will let you know.
I am glad that disagreements with Russia have come into the open, and relieved to find the present Govt. at least as anti-Russian as Churchill. The only hope is definiteness now.
Goodbye for now.
Ever yours affectionately
B.R.
