Dear Mrs. Holden,
We are very sorry to hear that you have had such a run of bad luck. I hardly know which of your misfortunes deserves the most sympathy, as it depends upon the newness of the car, the size of the cheques, and the severity of the grippe.
Kit and Jackie will come to London on the 28th. I understand that Kit is writing to you about it, and will tell you what time the train arrives. Shall we see you here, or are you only going to be in London?
Yours very sincerely,
<signed> Bertrand Russell.
