Dear Mrs Holden

Miss Black is in Cyprus for a holiday, so I have opened your letter to her enclosing a cheque for £50, for which many thanks. A receipt will be sent when we return to Telegraph House.

You can certainly stay at our guest house if you will give us a little notice. I don’t think we incurred any expenses on account of Jacqueline’s intended trip to London, but I will ask Miss Black when she returns.
