Dear Professor Hoernlé:

Having been away for a short time I only received your letter to–day. I will read Sheffer’s manuscript within the next fortnight and cable as you suggest. I will cable “Accept claims” if I think the manuscript supports what you tell me of Sheffer’s claims, especially as regards Principia Mathematica. Anything else will be less high praise.

I will cable as soon as it has been physically possible to read the book.
