Dear Professor Perry
I am very sorry to arrive so late, but after applying again to know if I could get away earlier, I have received the enclosed reply from our Senior Tutor. I think it is hardly the case, is it, that I stated positively that I could start on March 1. My recollection is that I said I thought I could start about then. I will do anything you suggest to make up for my late arrival.
