M. le Professeur Wahl,
Collège Philosophique,
15 Rue Cujas,
Paris.
Dear Professor Wahl,
Thank you for your letter of April 24th. I have noted the date — 6.p.m. on June 9th — and the subject — “Non-deductive Inference”.1 I will send you the English text as soon as I can, but this is not yet ready.
I am looking forward with much pleasure to meeting with you and becoming acquainted with the Collège Philosophique.2
Yours sincerely,

“Non-deductive Inference” The text is likely 12, a paper of that title dated [1945?], in Collected Papers 11. The mention of the atomic bomb on p. 126 supports this; the example of “all murderers in France” on p. 123, that Russell had a French audience in mind. This is surely the occasion.

Collège Philosophique Founded in 1946 by Wahl, it was to be an alternative to the Sorbonne.
