Dearest Alys

I told John and Susan of thya kind suggestion of asking them to a party, and they said they would be delighted to come. Susan also sent thanks for the soap. If thee still thinks of giving a party on my birthday, it would be very nice. When thee suggested it I couldn’t accept straight off as I had a half engagement which is now off. I go to Richmond (41 Queen’s Road) on May 1st.
