Thanks for postcard. I am sorry thee was so tired out. The reason thee got no letter at Lion’s was because I had not got the address. I have not answered the enclosed invitation, which has just reached me. If thee thinks it suitable, thee might write a word of apology and explanation. I have been hard at it today, listening to papers alla the morning, and spending the rest of the day in discussion. I went to see C.A. Strong, and found him pleasant. — I shall meet Mayor and Wright at Palermo.
