Dearest Alys
I have agreed to go on the P.S.F. Executive. Ray and Ellie and others persuaded the London Soc. to propose the running of candidates at the General Election. The London Soc. persuaded the Executive yesterday. I consider this policy disastrous; so do Miss Phillips and Miss Fraser. I want it opposed tooth and nail at the Council. Do go, as a proxy or somehow, and speak about Wimbledon. None of them realize that the votes I got, and most of the work, were Liberal, and that at this crisis a pure suffragist would not get 20 votes. They will make themselves a laughing-stock, and it is horrible. It is all due to the wish to be energetic.
Thine aff
Bertie.
