BR TO ALYS RUSSELL, [6 AUG. 1907]
BRACERS 21073. ALS. McMaster
Proofread by K. Blackwell

<letterhead>
Dungeon Ghyll New Hotel,
Langdale,
Ambleside.
Tuesday

Dearest Alys

I have written to Val. His change of plans is rather sudden, and if I were him I would not decide too hastily to give up being a schoolmaster.

Did thee telegraph to Crewkerne to find out what they had done with my bag? If not, please do. It is probably now too late to have the bag sent to Kirkby, and too expensive to have it sent to Skye. I should think it had better be sent to Bagley Wood and unpacked by Lothian. By the way, I am counting on not staying with the Stouts or any one else on our way south.

Please tell Margaret we shall be grateful for a vehicle at 11.44 at Arkholme, and that North would much enjoy staying on till Saturday if agreeable.

Thine aff
Bertie
