BAGLEY WOOD,
OXFORD.
Sunday
Dearest Alys
I am sorry thee was disappointed by not hearing yesterday; I hope thee heard this morning. — Frank wrote offering to come to Winchester with his car, and I wrote thanking and accepting. I leave Radley 12.27, and get to Winchester about 2.50.
Arthur and I arrived safely in beastly weather. Today, unluckily, he is rather seedy, but at the present moment he is sleeping, which will I hope do him good.
I am sending off the Nation and the Westminster today, and will attend to what thee says about Les Désenchantées. I am very sorry Miss H. is so bad, but I hope thee is getting a really good rest.
Thine aff.
Bertie
